Item Description

Dozens of fine, sharp, gemmy, interpenetrant twins (on a cube-diagonal twinning axis) - as often seen from this locality - sitting on matrix. This particular form (along with the gorgeous green color) is what makes these specimens so desirable from the English lead mines at Weardale. The largest Fluorite measures 2.5 cm on edge, which is very good sized for the locality. These are modern classics and really beautiful Fluorites on a worldwide scale. Good color ranging from beautiful blue-green indoors to the classic purple daylight fluorescence in sunlight. The piece also shows the classic bright purple UV fluorescence that is often seen in Rogerley Fluorites. Priced in our inventory at $2,400.
