Item Description

A gorgeous bi-color cube of Fluorite sits beautifully atop a white host rock matrix with associated "Ruby Jack" Sphalerites, but the most interesting aspect is that the back of the specimen shows a somewhat cascading group of golden gemmy Calcite which creates a somewhat "scepter" like effect. The piece displays wonderfully as you can see from the photo, and it GLOWS with color when backlit as the outer purple / blue exterior is illuminated by the beautiful yellow interior. The Fluorite measures 8.3 cm acrss at its widest dimension. Interestingly, there is a hollow spot on the front of the Fluorite (perhaps some negative or "hoppered" growth). This locality is well known for amazing multi-color Fluorite specimens, though they are few and far between on the market these days. This area is completely closed down and will never produce these specimens again. Ex Ross Lillie collection (#RCL1283), whose label states that it was collected in January 1994. Valued at $2,500.
