Fluorite (GEM "ice" crystals) with Calcite and Quartz

The Huanggang Mine has given collectors a wide array of Fluorites in a brief period of time. Colors range from green to pink to purple and even colorless! The colorless "ice" crystals from this locality are similar to the finest from places like Dal'negorsk, Russia and Naica, Mexico. This piece features several very sharp, WATER CLEAR, very well-formed, colorless crystals of Fluorite which are predominantly octahedral in habit with thin beautiful dodecahedral modifications. The Fluorites are elegantly associated with soft manganese-bearing Calcite and slighlty greenish colored partial "scepter" habit Quartz crystals on minor attached matrix. One rarely sees such fine quality examples of GEM QUALITY Fluorites like this! The largest crystal measures 2.4 cm and is pristine. With only a few imperfections on some of the lesser crsytals, the piece is in superb condition. Great quality, aesthetics, and form make this a desirable and worthwhile miniature of this beautiful material from this contemporary locality.
