Anglesite (GEMMY crystal) on Galena

Touissit is the premier locality for Anglesite in the world. The best Anglesites from localities like Tsumeb still are not good enough to best the finest of what Touissit has produced. This showy and three-dimensional specimen features a predominant, GEMMY, soft yellow colored, thick, orthorhombic crystal of Anglesite measuring 3.8 cm aesthetically flaring off of the contrasting silvery-grey Galena matrix. The main crystal is complete all the way around, and there is no major damage, but I can see a tiny pin prick imperfection near the termination, which is almost impossible to see without a loupe or some kind of magnification. There are a few incomplete, damaged secondary Anglesites on the piece which range in color from a a light yellow to milky white. The main Anglesite is the focus here as it is incredibly stout and gemmy, and really stands beautifully on the matrix. It's nearly impossible to find such well-formed, gemmy crystals of Anglesite in this size range from Touissit, and you just don't see anything this good from any other world locality. This piece was originally priced at $9,500 in the inventory making this a tremendous opportunity to pick up a fine specimen of this iconic material for a great bargain.
