Item Description

The Fluorite twins from this locality are distinctive and are unique in the world, for the sharpness, gemminess and noteworthy size. Most of the twins I've seen from this area are green in color, but pink examples have been found as well. Here, we have an incredibly large "Spinel-twinned" BI-COLOR Fluorite specimen that is not only impressive for its size, but it's remarkable gemminess. When you backlight the piece, you can see large WATER CLEAR sections that would yield incredible gemstones. This very well may be the largest bi-colored twinned Fluorite we've had to offer from this locality. You can see the twin line (reentrant line) that runs along the length of the crystal, but because it's not complete on the back, you can't see the full effect of both crystals together. Some beautiful accenting silvery blades of Muscovite are flaring off the base of the piece for a nice accent. A great quality, older Fluorite specimen from the famous pegmatite near Nagar. The piece was mined in the mid 1990's. A remarkable twinned Fluorite specimen weighing in at 1,444 grams. Priced in the inventory at $4,000. Hard to photograph (like many of the Fluorites from this locality) and better in person.
