Item Description

A beautiful small cabinet display specimen featuring a 2.8 cm, sharp, compressed, gemmy, Calcite crystal which is nearly colorless, but the underlying smaller Calcites have a reddish-brown hue from iron inclusions. The crystal is damage free, and sits wonderfully in the center of the specimen. An excellent and eye-catching specimen of this find, where the locality in Hubei Province was not divulged for some time. Priced at $900. Ex Dr. Steven Smale Collection.
