Item Description

A lovely thumbnail specimen consisting of a predominant very lustrous, jet-black, semi-pyramdial Braunite crystal free of matrix. Some of the best examples of this rare manganese silicate are found in the Kalahari Manganese Field, and this particular piece is a very good example for any collector. Ex Charlie Key personal collection. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
