Item Description

A 4 mm, sharp, lustrous, yellow pseudocubic (orthorhombic) crystal of Leucophanite is beautifully perched atop the underlying Albite matrix. Good quality and hard to find on the market these days, as I'm told that collecting at the quarry is now restricted by new ownership, so specimens will not be as easy to obtain as they have been for years. Very aesthetic to boot! Ex Charlie Key personal collection. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
