Item Description

This is the only piece of Lavendulan we've seen from the Rovnost Mine. The piece comes from noted Czech / Slovak mineral expert, Josef Vajdak. You can read Joe's biography here: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1371 The piece hosts rich blue Lavendulan with purplish Kottigite-(Co) and Strashimirite according to the label, though neither Kottigite-(Co) nor Strashimirite have been reported from this locality. A great rarity from this well known locality in the Jachymov District.
