Special Mineral Auction - Release of the Larson Burma Minerals Collection

Welcome to the first of several Fine Mineral Auctions planned from the holdings of the extensive Burma Minerals personal collection of dealer/collector "Burma Bill" Larson, assembled over 40 trips and nearly 30 years of travel to  Burma in its heyday as a specimen producer. This is a unique opportunity for all of us, ourselves included, to see the largest and broadest collection of specimen quality Burmese minerals assembled to date. Such focused collections built by single people in lucky times of production, as this was, are educational treasures because we dealers do not even see such quantity and breadth to learn context, without studying such rare assemblages. Due to the size of the collection (over 1000 items), we are posting installments every few months to either our website at iRocks.com or to the auctions here. Stay tuned for more!

For further information on this collection, assembled prior to 2008 and in storage for all that time until now, and which we are honored to have been the ones chosen to release, please also see our Wisdom Pocket blog: Larson Burma Blog

Other specimens currently for sale from our recent postings: iRocks.com Burma Gallery

Lastly, for a superb educational talking tour of Mogok, see our 2012 Dallas Symposium talk by Bill.
