Item Description

An old time specimen of Creedite from Santa Eulalia featuring small, sharp, lustrous, gemmy crystals which range in color from nearly white to a soft lavender hue on matrix. It's more of a reference specimen than anything else, but this particular color of Creedite is rare in the mineral world, and even a piece like this is hard to find on the market these days from this famous mineral producing region. The largest Creedite measures 6 mm. From the worldwide collection of noted Idaho collector Geary Murdock. Among other accomplishments, Geary was responsible for discovering some of the finest gem grade deep blue Aquamarine crystals in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho - which remain arguably the finest Aquamarines from any North American locality. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/36634006/geary-jack-murdock
