A fantastic specimen of the famous Cuprites from the historic Ray Mine featuring a predominant, razor sharp, highly lustrous, metallic, deep blood red colored crystal measuring 8 mm with a few accessory Cuprites associated with small grey botryoids of the rare copper iron oxide, Delafossite on oxidized matrix. The Cuprites are SUPERB in terms of their incredibly sharp faces, bright luster and internal gemminess. From the worldwide collection of famed Italian mineral collector, field collector and author, Francesco Bedogne of Sondrio, Italy (Collection #). He was also the founder of the Valtellinese Mineralogical Institute.
