Item Description

A solitary, light blue, razor sharp, lustrous, very gemmy crystal of Topaz measuring 1.6 cm is nestled between robust groups of very well-formed purplish-brown Muscovite on etched beige colored Microcline matrix. No real damage that I can see, and it's just so showy and aesthetic. It has such an attractive form and a three-dimensional quality that we're not used to seeing from this locality, especially since it's nearly impossible to obtain matrix specimens from Virgem da Lapa. Valued at $1650. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #4682).
