Item Description

These are truly some of the most distinctive crystals in the world because virtually no other species has this amazing color. These Manganese-bearing Vesuvianite crytals are rather vibrant with an intense reddish-violet color. This eye-catching miniature specimen shows prismatic crystals with the classic reddish-violet color on the terminations, and a lighter pink hue with hints of green near the center. They have great luster and form as well. Pieces like this are becoming very scarce on the market, and truly should be appreciated for the uniqueness. The Jeffrey Quarry is now completely defunct and these amazing Vesuvianite specimens are no longer being found. Minimal damage, but in good shape overall. Valued at $1600. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #7562) For more information on this important collection, use the link to this free online copy of our 2008 book on his collection: http://www.irocks.com/e-book-romero/
