Item Description

A wonderfully aesthetic and fine quality matrix specimen of Wulfenite from this world famous locality, best known for its world-class Vanadinites. A 1.9 cm cluster of several parallel-growth Wulfenites presents a dramatic display on top of the Barite matrix on this specimen. Additional Wulfenite crystals make for a great touch. This is FIERY ORANGE in color (better in person)...and MUCH more intense than you normally see as this mine is known for Wulfenite of a more butterscotch-yellow hue. These specimens came out in the late 1970s, and we rarely seen them on the market these days. Minimal nicks, but hard to see without magnification. The piece is glued to the lucite base, so we didn't try to remove it. Classic material from Mibladen, great color and very desirable on the market. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #3988).
