Item Description

A wonderful miniature display specimen. This is a great rarity for Beryl. Around 2003, I remember seeing some very interesting, rare bi-color crystals of Beryl from Pakistan that were tabular with a pink core and a blue ring surrounding it. These crystals are even more rare and interesting as they feature the same pink and blue bi-color, but with much more attractive prismatic crystals. This piece features an attractive, sharp, lustrous, translucent, doubly-termianted! crystal with blue Aquamarine terminations on the ends and a very pale pink Morganite color at the center of the crystal. This is a great rarity to find prismatic Morganite from any locality. The Beryl measures 4.2 cm long and is sitting on a blokcy white Microcline crystal with small groups of Albite dotting the exterior. The Microcline crystal is actually TRANSLUCENT when backlit, but it was difficult to photograph. One end of the Beryl crystals has some roughness, but it's still terminated, and the rest of the crystal is in great shape. It's so showy, and a piece with such great aesthetics and a doubly-terminated crystal is exceedingly rare for this material. Valued at $1,500. Any collector who loves unusual and colorful Beryl crystals should consider this one. From the worldwide collection of Tom Campbell.
