Item Description

A hard to find display specimen of Calcite from the world famous Ojulea Mine. The piece features sharp, well-formed, stark white colored rhombohedra of Calcite measuring up to 2.8 cm which are associated with heavily iron-included groups of Hemimorphite which have a rich orange-red hue with good lighting. The crystals appear to be sitting on soft grey colored semi-botryoidal Goethite on gossan matrix. Very attractive and a great piece to add to any Calcite suite or a collection of Mexican minerals. No damage that I can see, save a small spot on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. Valued at $1,250. From the worldwide collection of Tom Campbell. Tom is a mineralogist and mineral collect who works with us here at The Arkenstone. He has over 35 years of experience in the fields of exploration geology, mining, and applied mineralogy, and has even more years under his belt as a collector!
