Item Description

Tsumeb is one of the most renowned localities in the world, and is arguably the most popular locality for collectors over the last 50 years. This attractive display specimen is loaded with hundreds of fine quality, very sharp, lustrous, well-formed crystals of Native Copper which are assocaited with semi-metallic, sharp, well-formed dodecahedra of Cuprite that show a rich red hue when backlit. The fine crystallization is a rarity for Tsumeb, especially when combined with the overall aesthetics of the piece. Tsumeb really did NOT produce a large amount lot of Native Copper in good crystallized specimens, and this is a great piece for any native element collector or a Tsumeb enthusiast. Valued at $1500. From the worldwide collection of Tom Campbell. Tom is a mineralogist and mineral collect who works with us here at The Arkenstone. He has over 35 years of experience in the fields of exploration geology, mining, and applied mineralogy, and has even more years under his belt as a collector!
