When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the last 30 years. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Pakistani Himalayas, especially the pieces from around Shigar. This area has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This piece features a good, sharp, GEM/gemmy, lustrous, very pale blue color prismatic crystal of Aquamarine measuring 1.7 cm long sitting on a contrasting black Schorl Tourmaline crystals with accenting Albite on the reverse side. A great association specimen with good balance and aesthetics. No damage, and a nice little gem crystal specimen from this most prestigious of pegmatite districts. Valued at $650.
