Item Description

A nice secondary ore association specimen from Bisbee. Sharp, well-formed, metallic octahedral crystals of deep blood red Cuprite are associated with minor white Calcite on matrix. The Cuprites may appear a silvery-black hue on the exterior, but when they're backlit, some of the smaller crystals glow with classic intense color that is associated with the species. This material is now hard to find Bisbee, and it's a worthwhile thumbnail for anybody who collects Arizona minerals. The majority of the Cuprites are undamaged and measure up to 7 mm. From the worldwide thumbnail / miniature collection of Irv Brown.
