Item Description

This is a fine quality Creede Sphalerite specimen. The crystals are very gemmy with the typical honey and green color that one is accustomed to seeing from this mine. When backlit, the crystals glow with color, which is only amplified by their excellent exterior luster and internal clarity. There are areas in the crystals which are nearly WATER CLEAR, which is not often seen in this mateiral. The largest Sphalerite measures 1.1 cm, and they are well isolated and distinctive. One does not see these specimens on the market much any more. They are simply some of the most classic Sphalerites from Colorado. No major damage that I can see from with the naked eye, only minor roughness. A fantastic miniature of this desirable material. BETTER IN PERSON. From the worldwide thumbnail / miniature collection of Irv Brown.
