Item Description

An aesthetic diverging cluster of tan terminated pseudomorphs of stibiconite after stibnite crystals. All of terminations are pristine and only one broken pseudo is noted. Complete all-around. The broken crystal is mostly out-of-sight in the preferred display views. Stibiconite after stibnite specimens from the historic old silver mines at Catorce are a classic and desirable Mexico species. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 4242 and acquired in 1965. Kay's label is incorrect. These striking pseudos are from Catorce. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
