Item Description
A really attractive rough and cut set of Catapleiite of rather lustrous and translucent silvery colored pseudo-hexagonal (they're actually monoclinic) crystals on matrix. The largest crystal measures up to 1.1 cm acorss. The stone in the set is a colorless, nearly eye clean, "Emerald" cut gem and makes for a great match to the specimen. Faceted stones of this uncommon sodium zirconium silicate are not seen on the market, and are highly prized, even in smaller gems. The retail price on this set is $800.
