Calcite

Item Description

A wonderful large thumbnail / toenail sized piece of compressed striated rhombohedra of Calcite with sharp, distinct faces and good internal gemminess when backlit. Beautiful olive green semi-arboresecent growths of Duftite can be seen on all sides. The Calcites have a slight reddish tint from iron oxide inclusions, which gives the piece wonderful character with the red and green set against the Calcites. It's showy, completely all around, and nearly a total "floater", with only one small point of contact that I can see with the naked eye.
