Item Description
An impressive LARGE CABINET plate of translucent, green fluorite octahedrons. The large, dominating octahedron is 12.5 cm. These fluorites came out in modest numbers for only a short time, and have essentially disappeared from the market. It is quite hard now to find nice-looking, undamaged crystals, on or off matrix, and the Chinese dealers value them highly and charge plenty for them. The specimen is very nearly pristine, except for trivial edge wear on one octo. The periphery wear is noted. This striking large piece displays well from either side. Moderate purple fluorescence. 4.0 pounds or 1.8 kilos.
