Item Description
Curled and curved silver wires with a bright patina, to about 3 mm, are richly scattered on the vuggy matrix of solid bornite ore. The bornite has classic blue and golden iridescence. This showy and excellent combination piece is from the ancient and well-known San Martin Mine, in operation since about 1555! Over 450 years. High quality material from the Wes Parker Collection, as even the mine level is known.
