A stunning, 2.9 x 2.0 x 1.7 cm, water-clear, rich sherry-colored topaz crystal is beautifully set on matrix on this striking and excellent specimen from Katlang. The limpid quality of the crystal is outstanding, which has just a bit of vertical crazing. They are extremely rare, and good aesthetic specimens are hard to find...matrix specimens even harder still. A (small) spot of damag on a termination edge prevents this from being a truly superb and major Katlang matrix specimen at a multiple of the value here, over 10k if pristine. Fairly valued at $2500, and has multiple beautiful display views from three sides.
