Item Description

This is a great association specimen from Pakistan. The Tourmaline crystal on this piece is very lustrous and heavily striated and features a colorless ("Achroite") and blue ("Indicolite") termination which grades into dark forest-green (virtually black) color throughout the rest of the crystal. To top it off, the Tourmaline is associated with beautiful "books" of translucent golden Muscovite, gemmy, lustrous, colorless Quartz and a tiny bit of red Garnet on the back of the piece. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite association specimen for your collection. The Tourmaline measures 5.7 cm long and is in very good condition, save a few minor imperfections. When the Tourmaline is backlit, the color really comes out. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market. Valued at $1800.
