Rutile with Hematite included in Quartz (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

Some of the most iconic Rutile / Hematite specimens in the world are those from Novo Horizonte. This piece is a cool example of the 2008 find featuring golden Rutile crystals sprouting out of natural silvery Hematite center which are included inside of gemmy prismatic Quartz crystals. The piece is contacted on the back / side where it was removed from the pocket, but the termination on the Quartz is complete, and it is absolutely transparent in the center, creating a perfect window to view the lovely iron and titanium oxides respectively.
