Item Description

From the collection of Colorado geologist Allen Heyl, for whom the species Aheylite was named, this is an attractive, long, slender Stibnite crystal with good metallic luster and bright silvery color from the Xikuangshan Mine. Minor chipping and edge-wear, but the crystal looks nearly doubly-terminated, which is rare for this material, as they are often sheared off the matrix, so this is an interesting example of this classic material. Please note, this is not from the Wuling (Wuning) Mine in Jiangxi Province, China, but I think the size and quality of crystals from both localities is fairly equal.
