Fantastic looking and rare calcite from an unknown locale near Chenzhou City. This surreal 360-degree calcite looks like a flocked Christmas tree! It is composed of a myriad of highly lustrous, glassy, translucent, stepped-growth nailhead calcite rhombs. The scattered dark "ornaments" are oxide-coated pyrite octahedrons. The striking 8 mm nailhead spar gem ornament at the top is a super accent. Complete all-around, nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of bruising. Bright pink fluoresecence. From a new small lot we received. A must for the species or locality collector.
