Item Description

An impressive and sculptural 360-degree small cabinet cluster of intergrown goethite pseudomorphs after sharp pyritohedrons from this well-known Utah locale. The striking large and pristine pseudo is 4.7 x 4.0 x 2.8 cm. The beautifully striated pseudos are a rich chocolate-brown and have nice silky luster. Complete all-around and in great shape. The six small bruised or contacted areas are certainly only a minimal detraction. Common in the late 1990s, you don't see many around anymore. These come out of a former fossiliferous limestone now altered to clay. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection. A fine and impressive pseudo from the locale with a large crystal.
