Item Description

A great old time set of 5 crystals of classic Brazilian Imperial Topaz that dates back to around the late 1960s - according to a small scrap of paper that was found with the crystals. All of the crystals are single, sharp, well-formed, lustrous, gemmy, soft golden-orange color prisms, but keep in mind that some are better quality than others. A cool glimpse into the kind of crystals that were coming out of Brazil around 50 years ago. This dry comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. You can read Willard's bio on the Mineralogical Record website here ( http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1528 ).
