Item Description

A fantastic thumbnail specimen of the incredibly hard to find Arsenopyrites from Hidalgo del Parral. The piece features a few notably sharp, highly lustrous, metallic / splendent, bright silvery-white colored monoclinic crystals free of matrix. The crystals have lovely stepped "teeth"-like terminations that compliment the gorgeous striations on the broad crystal faces. Excellent quality and certainly the best thumbnail specimen of this material that we've ever had to offer! The specimen comes from the collection of the well-known mineral collector and rancher Rukin Jelks (1927-2014). You can read his bio at the following link: https://mineralogicalrecord.com/labels.asp?colid=1767 The piece is also accompanied by a label from Peter Megaw Minerals.
