Color-zoned Fluorite on Quartz (old classic)

Item Description

A very fine and showy, older fluorite specimen from the Robert Fender Collection. Two, glassy, translucent cubes to 3.2 cm are aesthetically set on the super-sparkly drusy quartz matrix. The cubes have beautiful violet color with classic darker edge phantoms. The dense, stepped-growth faces have a shimmering, scintillating look in light. Contacting on the back of the cubes is mostly out of sight. Quartz matrix specimens are very uncommon from this district. This classic piece dates to the 1970s or earlier.
