Item Description

A unique amethystine quartz crystal from a most unusual and recent, new African locality - the Kaiiado District of Kenya. It looks like a Brandberg piece, but its not. The doubly terminated, very glassy and transparent scepter has just a touch of blush purple in the termination. Tiny hematite platelets and larger, tan clay platelets included in the crystal add much character. Complete all-around. One, out-of-sight face is contacted with moderate bruising. The termination and all of the remaining prism faces are pristine. Very fine and rare quartz from this obscure locale. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
