Item Description

Quartz from this obscure Austrian locale is very rare and this is an outstanding doubly terminated crystal. Water-clear, the lustrous tapered crystal is lightly frosted by stepped-growth faces. Interestingly, the water-clear termination is partially formed into a reverse scepter and the steep termination is preferentially milky quartz! This unique floater is very nearly pristine, with only very trivial bruising to the water-clear termination. Ex Wein Collection # 4123 and obtained in 1968.
