Fluorite specimens from the famous Shangbao Mine are a Chinese classic. This showy, excellent and large, two-sided rib is covered on the front with transparent, lustrous, violet cuboctahedrons to 2.4 cm. The crystals have transparent, TV-like, cube faces and you can look right down into the beautiful purple interiors. The modified octo side faces have distinctive, frosted-look, stepped growth. The dramatically different back is composed mostly of splendent pyrite cubes and a few isolated fluorites fringed by the large octos.
