Item Description

Lustrous and translucent, color-zoned fluorite cubes to 3.5 cm are aesthetically clustered and stacked on this dramatic large specimen from this obscure locale near the famous Mina Ojuela. The cubes have moderately lustrous stepped-growth faces with striking and beautiful darker purple, edge phantoms. Preferential crystal coatings of drusy quartz add character. They look like classic Elmwood fluorites, but are not! Nearly all of the many cubes are pristine, except for the periphery wear. A fine, large matrix specimen from this less well-known locale with MULTIPLE display views. Moderate purple fluorescence. From the noted Mexico collection of Dave Stoudt. Valued at $1500. Hefty at 14.6 pounds or 6.6 kilos.
