Item Description

A fantastic display specimen featuring vitreous vivid blue Cuprian Adamite from the historic Ojuela mine in Mexico. The color is excellent for the material and the crystals are good sized measuring up to a full 1.1 cm. Associated white Calcite makes for a very nice touch. VERY little damage. The combination of the beautiful color, larger than average crystals and the fact that very few are available on the market today makes for a wonderful association specimen of this classic material. Valued at $900. From the worldwide collection of David Burgess (1951-2016). David was a prolific species collector from Newington, Connecticut, and the namesake for the extremely rare cobalt arsenate species Burgessite, which he discovered.
