Item Description

Sparkly blush-purple amethyst points have pseudomorphed a fantastic large dramatically skewed and hoppered anhydrite crystal. The pseudomorph artistically lies on the amethyst-covered basalt matrix. The striking pseudo is 12.5 cm long on the diagonal. Similar specimens from the locale have been reported as fluorite pseudomorphs, but the Ken Roberts Pseudomorph Collection label lists this as anhydrite. From the Akasri Quarry. This is an amazingly sculptural large amethyst pseudomorph from this well-known area quarried for geodes in basalt.
