Item Description

This piece dates back to the early 2000s, when several spots in Baluchistan started producing some impressive "Alpine-type" Brookite and Anatase specimens. In most cases, these pieces are nearly identical to their counterparts from European Alpine localities in terms of quality, crystallization, color and size. They are certainly among the best representations of their respective species to come out of any locality in a few decades. This miniature specimen features a very lustrous, sharp, deep steel blue color, tetragonal crystal of Anatase measuring 5 mm sitting on bladed white Albite on matrix. A secondary smaller Anatase is partially buried under Albite off to the side. There is a tiny "rub" on the edge of the main Anatase, but it's still a good quality example of these now classic Anatase specimens.
