Item Description
In the early 2000s, there was a find of superb "Alpine-type" quality Brookite and Anatase specimens from the Balochistan Region of Pakistan. The Anatase specimens found at this locality are some of the finest quality pieces found in the modern era of minerals. They are similar in style and quality to the best examples from Alpine localities in Norway and throughout Europe. This particular specimen features a very sharp, highly lustrous, well formed tetragonal crystal of Anatase with a nice metallic steel blue color that can be seen just under the surface of the crystal when viewed in strong lighting. The crystal measures 5 mm long and is associated with white Albite on matrix creating a very attractive display specimen. Very little on this material is available on the market these days
