Anatase with Rutile (ex Shields Flynn Collection)

Item Description

This is a wonderful, very sharp, well-formed, doubly-terminated, prismatic, tetragonal crystal of Anatase which is epitaxially overgrown by small metallic golden-brown colored Rutile crystals coating nearly every side of the specimen. These are classic specimens, and to have two titanium oxides together on the same piece is pretty cool. The piece is a complete "floater", as it's crystallized all over, with no damage or point of contact anywhere. From the collection of Shields Flynn.
