Item Description
A rich green, sharp, lustrous, gemmy/translucent, 1.3 x 0.9 cm, demantoid garnet dodecahedron is jauntily set on the contrasting white marble matrix. Smaller demantoids on the matrix add character. The tiny bruise on the termination is certainly only a modest detraction. Fine pieces of this quality starting coming out of the Tubussis Farm 22 in the late 1990s. An excellent thumbnail example of the species and locality. Valued at $500.
