About 10 years ago, these crystals first hit the market, and they made a big splash due to the fact that they were simply some of the richest blue colored Beryls from any locality in the world. Sadly, the limited supply combined with the fantastic quality and color has made them incredibly popular, and rather hard to find. I love the fact that even the smaller sized crystals show wonderful saturation of color. Here we have a 3-piece set of single thumbnail sized crystals ranging from 1.3 x 0.3 x 0.3 cm to 2.0 x 0.4 x 0.3 cm. All of the crystals are sharp, lustrous and virtually WATER CLEAR. They show fairly good color despite the fact that they are thin prisms. It's important to note that the crystals have smooth well-formed faces, and aren't heavily etched like some we've seen from this locality. Two of the three crystals are terminated, but one of them is contacted, so not every crystal is perfect. A nice set of these attractive and hard to find Aquas from this interesting locality in Vietnam.
