Item Description

When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the last 20 years. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the high Pakistani mountains including the pieces from the famous Nagar region. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This piece features a beautiful impressive cluster of sharp, GLASSY, gemmy, beautiful blue color, hexagonal prismatic crystals of Aquamarine which are associated with minor bladed Muscovite. The largest individual Aqua crystal measures 5.2 cm. The MAJORITY of the crystals are damage free, and although the underside of the specimen may appear damaged, if you look closely, you can see areas where it's actually recrystallized ("re-healed"), so it's almost complete all around. Save a minor bit of edge wear, it's in superb condition, and really looks beautiful in person. Rarely does one find groups of crystals like this from this famous Pakistani pegmatite locality, and this one has better color than most. The piece was priced in our inventory at $2,500.
