A surreal and rare style large cave aragonite from the well-known Wenshan Mine. Two generations of aragonite compose this dramatically sculptural two-sided piece. Small first generation bubbly stalactitic botryoids comprise the base of the piece. Iron oxide tinting and scattered tiny blue botryoids (copper is the coloring chromophore) add color and character to this portion of the piece. Fantastic large bulbous snow-white stalactitic botryoids look like scoops of vanilla ice cream on a large ice cream sunday on this exceptional large specimen from the Ken Roberts Collection. This is a rare and exotic large white aragonite style from here, as most aragonites from here are strongly blue from copper inclusions.
