Item Description

A highly representative example of the classic Aurichalcites from the Ojueal Mine. The piece features attractive "sprays" comprising thin acicular crystals of rich turquoise blue colored Aurichalcite on oxidized matrix. Very fun to view up closed with a loupe or under the microscope. The largest Aurichalcite "needle" measures 7 mm long. The piece comes from the Wouter Van Tichelen collection (#20060605).
