Item Description

Next to the specimens from Bisbee, the Azurites from Morenci are certainly among the finest ever found in any locality in Arizona. This specimen dates back to the 1980s and is a thick, "rose"-shaped group consisting of many blocky, sharp, distinct, rich midnight blue color crystals of Azurite, free of matrix. There is a slightly reflective and almost "satiny" luster on the surface that looks beautiful when the piece is rotated in the light. The piece is crystallized on all sides, with no major damage that I can find, so I am calling this one a complete "floater". A great piece for any fan of secondary ore minerals, worldwide Azurite or minerals of Arizona. Priced at $950 in the inventory.
